Started in 1992 in Shropshire by two graduates who met as students on a Furniture Design and Cabinet Making course, the company is today one of the leading suppliers of cots, mattresses and nursery furniture in the UK, and exports to many European countries. Saplings is now run by a team led by MD Tim Cottrell, a third generation nursery industry expert, who has two young children.
All the wood used to make the Saplings furniture comes from sustainable sources, the latest technology is used to make sure our cots, furniture and mattresses reduce the impact on the environment. Everything that can be recycled from our factories and offices is, to ensure that we are as green as possible.
